John Terpstra began his writing life as a poet, but, with Falling Into Place, began applying his poetic gifts to prose. His second prose work, The Boys, Or, Waiting for the Electrician's Daughter was nominated for the Charles Taylor Prize for Literary Non-Fiction and the BC Award for Canadian Non-Fiction in 2006. In 2009 John released another of his eclectic explorations, Skin Boat: Acts of Faith and Other Navigations. The House with the Parapet Wall is John’s most recent book of non-fiction
