These poems were first read by Annette Abma, Jeffery Donaldson, Maggie Martineau, and John Terpstra on the first Sunday of Advent, 29 November 1998 at McNeill Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ontario for the ecumenical service hosted by the McNeill, St. Paul’s Anglican, Grace Lutheran Westdale United, and St. Cuthbert’s Presbyterian churches.
